"Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war and until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes. And until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race, there is war. And until that day, the dream of lasting peace, world citizenship, rule of international morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never attained... now everywhere is war.”
-Popularized by Bob Marley in the song War

1; I think that this quote means that in every place and for any reason the people try to make a problem, because of the skin color and religion.
ReplyDelete2;This quote is related to the color of water, because Ruth have to deal with the people who dont whant her, because she has a different skin color and she has a black kids.
3; Yes, I agree with the lyrics,I hope SOME DAY this problem, about rasicm it ends because i dont want to see more people been rejected from jobs or from schools because of the skin color , or the religion that the person has...
1. I think that Bob Marley is trying to say that, untill poeple in the world look beyond the color of one's skin, nationality, or money, then this world will always be at war. With no peace what so ever!
ReplyDelete2. In The Color of Water, Ruth, James and the rest of Ruth 11 children were always looked in various ways because of the color of their skin. Ruth was beat up in her Harlem apartment for being with Dennis.<--- (example for the "war")
3. Yes, i absolutely agree with what is being said in this quote! It's not only racism that causes this war that we've been having for many years. I believe it also has everything to do with ignorance. Hopefully one day our nation grows to love one another!

I think that Bob Marley is trying to tell the people that until there is only one race to the human eye there will be war.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to the Color Of Water, because both are dealing with racism and war.
Last, i agree with the lyrics because what Bob Marley is telling the people is true. which is something that we are able to see in this day, like first class and second class people .
1) What i Think That Bob Marley is trying to say is that until everyone is able to look beyond what color people are or their race and money we will never be at peace and always at war.
ReplyDelete2) This quote relates to the color of water because of the racism and how they were treated based on how they are. Being looked down at which means they were never left alone, picked on all the time which means they were always at war with those people.
3) I do agree with the lyrics because its basically true, it still happens this very day. Until people stop worrying about others about their race , money and everything else we will forever be at war :( !
1) i think that Bob is trying to say that if people see themselves superior to another, there is always going to be hate and war.
ReplyDelete2)This relates to the color of water because in the story, Ruth was being judged by others because of how she chose to live her life. They would mistreat her for following what her heart told her and it just so happened that she fell in love with black men. She was also talked bad about because of what the color of her skin was and because they saw that she ignored them and was able to keep her head high.
3)i agree with the lyrics. Everything in the lyrics is true and i don't think anyone could of wrote them any better. I agree with them because racism is still going on. Not as much as when it was legal but still goes on in todays world.
1. i think his trying to said that until we all start seeing each other the same there will be war in this world
ReplyDelete2.it related because they were always a fight between one race against another just because they were deferent
3.yes i agree because racism still around which mean that there are people at this time that fight against other people just because they think that there race is better!
